Biggest Killer: Camels, Chevy Volts, Mercury Bulbs or Big Government?
Warning: Smoking Newports could result in being elected President of the United States, proficiency in basketball jump shots and weekend golf. Soon after President Barack Obama’s Department of Education meddlers finished their 19-page guidelines outlawing male pursuits of females on college campi, his FDA nanny staters revisited General Surgeon’s suggested reading material before walking a mile for a Camel before Halloween 2012. Given the low reading proficiency of so many products of government schools, they chose to dumb down from sentences to pictures: Packs of cigarettes will soon be a lot harder to look at, after U.S. regulators mandated that cigarette makers add graphic warning labels to their products depicting such images as a man exhaling smoke through a hole in his neck… The new labels must occupy the top half of the front and back … Read entire article »

Is Texas Gov. Rick Perry the New Reagan?
Texas governor Rick Perry is said to be very possibly preparing to announce his candidacy for the 2012 Republican nomination for president of the United States. Perry could well become the front runner if he enters the race. And he easily could beat Obama for many reasons, the first of which is that he still is a popular sitting governor – one of the longest-serving in American history – who is in his third term as the leader of a very large state. Perry became governor way back in 2000. That is quite a record. But since he is a conservative, the media have generally blacked out his achievements. Compare Perry to some of the others in the GOP field and he seems much stronger. Mitt Romney left the … Read entire article »

Is James Carville Egging on Civil Unrest?
James Carville, the Democrat activist and strategist, recently said in a television interview that Obama’s re-election is “going to be very difficult” if the economy remains sour. He added, “..this is gruesome on people…. But this is a terrible thing that has happened to people’s lives. I think the president at one level understands that, you know. But he is limited in what he can do. So we’ll just have to see. But it’s going to be hard.” Yet didn’t we conservatives warn over and over that Obama policies would never work? That his ‘stimulus’ was nothing but a $400 billion sop to public employee unions (Obama still is holding on to almost $400 billion in those funds which he will spread around for his re-election)? You know, the unions … Read entire article »

Passive Facebook Culture Ideal for Democrats
In April president Obama went to California to appear at a Facebook forum. Obama is a big fan of Mark Zuckerberg, America’s youngest billionaire who founded Facebook. So Obama loves Facebook. What does this say? It speaks volumes. Or rather, it speaks gigabytes. Think about Facebook. It is a computer site that has become a huge success. It is unlikely that Zuckerberg ever expected it to be as big as it is, with hundreds of millions of users just a few years after it was launched. But Zuckerberg had better watch out. In the world of computers, one day your idea is “in” and the next day it is “out”. Think AOL. Think MySpace. Think CompuServ. But what is Facebook really? Answer: It is a communication/media tool. It … Read entire article »

Sexualized Culture Threatens Us All
The recent scandal about Democrat congressman Anthony Weiner shows us how a sexualized culture threatens us every day. Just imagine, before the scandal broke, that some person had got hold of Weiner’s web chats and threatened to expose him. He might suddenly be advocating legislation to help that person, i.e., he could be blackmailed. He may have been blackmailed. Who knows… Last winter, an organization called Judicial Watch obtained a State Department document that alleges that Massachusetts Democrat US senator Ted Kennedy (1932-2009) in 1961 arranged to rent out an entire brothel during a trip to South America, and that Kennedy invited radical communist activists to meet with him there to air their grievances. If true, this happened before Kennedy was elected to the US Senate in 1962 but still … Read entire article »

The Incredible Shrinking President
Barack Obama looks more and more like The Incredible Shrinking President. Suddenly, just in the past few weeks, there has been a cascade of bad economic news that he cannot escape while at the same time it appears that more and more Republicans want to take a shot at him in 2012. Even mild-mannered Mitt Romney is talking trash. Good. Sarah Palin is on the warpath. And Rudy Giuliani. Word says that even Huckabee may get back in. And that Trump could re-enter the race. And Rick Perry from Texas. And congresswoman Michelle Bachmann. It is like the Obama boat has flipped over, that there is a surge of adrenaline coursing through the anti-Obama forces in America as if the wounded animal has been finally exposed. It is amazing how blood in … Read entire article »

2012 US Senate Races Look Great for GOP
Every once in a while, an election cycle looms that looks particularly good for one party or the other. 2006 looked bright for the Democrats to re-take the House after 12 years out of the majority, and they did. 1980 was a year for Ronald Reagan and American conservatism to take the reins. And in 1994, the Republicans swept back into congressional power big-time, as they did in 2010. In 2012, the outlook for Barack Obama to hold the presidency is fair at best. Democrats are understandably frightened and know the real score, but the Media Left are doing everything possible to support Obama. If he were a Republican and the nation were in the state it is in, Obama would be said to have no chance whatsoever. Meanwhile the … Read entire article »

Palin Running? Wow…
Who would have imagined it six months ago – Sarah Palin seems to be making gestures toward joining the 2012 Republican presidential field. She started a bus tour in Washington on Memorial Day weekend. The tour goes to… New Hampshire. And the media will not miss a single opportunity to trash Palin at every turn. Because the Democrats are genuinely afraid of her. They saw the hordes buying her books and attending her rallies. They understand her popular appeal and that that appeal is vocally anti-Obama. And so the media must now get out in front of their Obama Parade and knock down Palin again. Democrats and their media cronies are putting on a bold face, that Obama is invincible and a certain shoo-in for re-election. But privately they … Read entire article »

On Monday, Honor the Fallen
Here is the text of a plaque located near the war memorial in my hometown in Massachusetts: Roman Walter Sadlowski, US Navy, Born June 15, 1920, Died December 7, 1941 Who Gave His Life at Pearl Harbor in Defense of His Country. His Example Will Always Remain An Inspiration of Faithful Performance of Duty. Dedicated May 17, 1942 Who is Roman Walter Sadlowski? And why was this plaque specially made for him? I have no idea the answer to either question. All I can say is God bless the Roman Sadlowskis of the world. They made the ultimate sacrifice in America’s War on Evil. No, I do not know a thing about Roman. He was born one year before my father, so perhaps I would have known his children if … Read entire article »
