via Twitchy The U.S. Forest Service is blocking residents of Tombstone, Ariz. from repairing waterlines damaged by storms and wildfires last year. Why? Because restoring the lines that bring spring water from the mountains could endanger the Mexican spotted owl. Really. Oh, and the Chiricahua leopard frog too. Safe drinking water? Water to fight fires? Pfft. Suck it up, Tombstone. The spotted owls need you. (Not that there are any left after the storms and fires destroyed their habit.)
