Defining the GOP ‘reach out’ Blacks shouldn’t need
Instead, Republicans need to reach out to all voters, regardless of race, and aggressively make the economic and, especially the moral case against Democrats and for the GOP. Since my 2000 conservative epiphany, after 18 years an activist and official of the Democratic Party, I have been adamant in encouraging my grand new party to reach out to Blacks and take the gloves off in defending themselves against Democrats’ false charges of bigotry and lack of concern for the poor. I still favor all of the above and, inspired by recent Frederick Douglass Society discussions bemoaning the lack of an adequate reach out effort for Black votes (but mostly failing to describe how to so reach out) I want to offer a specific strategy below. Leave Mob-like reach outs based on envy to the Democrats But first, can’t … Read entire article »

Meet Wil Cardon Candidate for US Senate in Arizona
In 2012, Arizona is a battleground state that the GOP needs to win to take control of the Senate. There are already four GOP candidates for this open US Senate seat, and there may be more. I like real estate investor Wil Cardon over US House Rep. Jeff Flake, general contractor Doug McKee, and former mayor of Youngtown Bryan Hackbarth. I base this on face to face contact that my online Precinct Committeeman Project friend, Cold Warrior, has had with Wil. You’ll find my opinion is different from what you may read at a DC-centric establishment political site. Below is a brief summary table of Wil Cardon’s background vs Jeff Flake’s background. Wil Cardon’s background vs Jeff Flake’s background: Cardon played college football under the late Bill Walsh at Stanford University and received … Read entire article »

Meet The Girls of New York; The Original Grande Dames of New York were Republicans.
A little bit of history wrapped in a slice of humor. From the 1860s until around the mid-1960s, the wealthy upper crusts of New York City were Republicans. And mostly conservative, even as we know conservatives today. (The country club part of being RINO predated the social liberal part by about two generations. They have different roots.) But I am about the humorous side of their wives, today, but there is still a lesson. It’s about class, one of my favorite subjects. Every city, town and county in America has its founding families. We still have Mayflower descendants who look down on everyone else, based on bloodline and nothing more…only to be outdone by the Virginia dames who can trace their lineage back to the Jamestown settlements predating the Puritans by a decade. Stuffy … Read entire article »

Blitzer blindness, organized religion and pre-Medicaid American exceptionalism
“But Congressman, are you saying that society should just let them die?” - Wolf Blitzer, CNN While Mitt Romney and Rick Perry indulged in strained Social Security/Ponzi scheme analogies at least week’s Republican debate, Blitzer’s loaded question and Ron Paul’s actual answer revealed much about what divides so many Americans and prevents policy solutions in health care and other areas: PAUL: No. I practiced medicine before we had Medicaid, in the early 1960s, when I got out of medical school. I practiced at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, and the churches took care of them. We never turned anybody away from the hospitals. Of course, the post-debate focus of the mainstream media was on a shouted assent to Blitzer’s question from an audience member and the Democratic Party’s half century agenda to define the … Read entire article »

Solyndra, Obama’s Enron, or Worse? A Forensic Viewpoint
When Enron collapsed, if you recall, the media attempted to lay its collapse, and the loss of hundred of millions in employee 401Ks, at the feet of George W Bush. You see, Bush and Ken Lay, Enron’s founder, were pals. Cronyism. Case closed. Yes, it is true, they were pals, but it was also true that Enron had been as active if not more so during the Clinton Administration, doing the lobbying necessary to get special favors from the World’s Greatest Crony. But you could only find these facts on the back page of the New Delhi Times. Not in America. (The facts are always out there, the Right just has to work harder to find out where the Left has buried them.) Ken Lay, because he was a pal of GWB, had … Read entire article »

The House Passed This Bill
The news anchors last night were reporting that the House just passed the “Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act,” and it was only symbolic because the US Senate will not bring it up for a vote, and Obama will veto it anyway. Still, it was a great vote to try and rein in an out of control federal board from killing jobs in the US. Here is the text summary of this bill: Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act – Amends the National Labor Relations Act to deny the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) any power to: (1) order an employer (or seek an order against an employer) to restore or reinstate any work, product, production line, or equipment; (2) rescind any relocation, transfer, subcontracting, outsourcing, or other change regarding the … Read entire article »

Is Herman Cain Designing a New Template for Presidential Candidates?
Proof #1 : Yesterday, a businessman named Bob Turner, with no prior political experience, handily defeated a Democrat in NY’s 9th district, replacing disgraced amateur porn star Anthony Weiner as the district’s congressional representative. It is the first time a Republican has held that seat since the 1920′s. Was this a repudiation of Obama, or the state of the current Democrat Party, or of Weiner? All of the above I’d say, but in that order. While the GOP is crowing, trust me the district did not suddenly change party affiliation. The day the Democrats can find a pro-Israeli, fiscally responsible candidate, they will vote for him. But that will be awhile, now. In the meantime Bob Turner will leave his mark, and that mark will be one that Herman Cain has helped pioneer. Proof # … Read entire article »

When the Dam Breaks: The Citizens’ View
Damn No 1 LadyImpactOhio has given us a heads-up on a series of rolling protests beginning with the Day of Rage in New York on Saturday. It was designed to be like the Arab Spring in Tahrir Square (with many of the same union sponsors) which brought down a moderate pro-West authoritarian, Mubarak, and replaced it with the radical Muslim Brotherhood. On its face the Day of Rage is designed to shut down Wall Street and parts of the banking sector in New York City. After that? “Let’s just see how lucky we can get.” Several similar events are scheduled in Sept-Oct, worldwide, all with a common objective; chaos. “We consider the entire island of Manhattan and even the Citicorp building in Long Island City, Queens to be ‘Wall Street’. The NYPD may kettle … Read entire article »

I Salute 10 Additional Freshmen House Members
There are 10 additional freshmen members in the US House of Representatives who should be saluted for being true to the US Constitution, and for not getting tainted by Washington, DC. I used two votes in 2011 as my guide. These 10 are freshmen members who, in my opinion, voted YES correctly both times. It is just as worthy receiving kudos for voting YES on votes to improve a law as it is for the kudos I gave out to 15 other freshmen members for voting NO against bad laws. The first vote occurred on June 15, 2011. This was a vote on an amendment sponsored by Jason Chaffetz (UT-3) to amend the H.R. 2112: Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill to reduce funding for … Read entire article »

They Hate Us Because We Are Free
I have heard the refrain for 10 years. So too have you. I have heard it from folks I dislike, from folks I respect and from people I both like and respect. We are told they hate us because we are free. And it is a lie. Political correctness served large. There are many reasons why this is a false statement. For example, it assumes we are free. Given the bureaucratic tyranny that emanates from Washington we should be able to make peace with the ill-informed moo-slems by simply showing them a 1040A, 1099, EEOC form, EPA action report, or have OSHA pay them a visit. One look at the despotism of the beltway and they would be quite satisfied that gee-had was entirely unnecessary. In fact they would likely send us condolences and remittances. Nope. … Read entire article »
