What Happens When You Raise Taxes On Billionaires

They do what you expect them to do and lets be factually correct here, the millionaires do it as well, they hide it. The Democrats continue to push Americans to let them raise taxes on this group who are already paying MORE then their fair share for the welfare state. The Democrats will pass “budgets” which include these imaginary dollars from millionaires and billionaires or as Occupied Wall Street a subsidiary of Barack Obama call them the 1%, they in turn pay high priced lawyers to hide it. They also do what this enterprising young man did Facebook Co-Founder Says Screw You Barack Hussein Obama He lived the American Dream — and then he packed up and left. Gov. Dayton sides with unions…again

It’s almost like this isn’t news. Gov. Dayton sided with his union thug allies rather than with parents: St. Paul- Governor Mark Dayton announced Friday his rejection of efforts by the legislature to ensure child care assistance dollars are not diverted to unions. Senate Assistant Majority Leader Ted Lillie (R-Lake Elmo), chief author of House File 1766 (SF 1630), gave the following statement after the Governor’s veto. “I am surprised and disappointed by the Governor’s decision to leave dollars meant for the care of our children unprotected from union hands. Our priority is to act as faithful stewards of taxpayer dollars and also to protect private businesses from government overreach. With his veto today, the Governor does nothing to prevent unions from capturing tax payer dollars intended for the care of our children,” … Read entire article »

Franken won’t let Buffett Rule die

Whatever else is said about the Buffett Rule, one thing’s certain: Sen. Franken won’t let it die: Sen. Franken, who co-sponsored the defeated Buffett Rule provision, said voters will invariably need to compare the Democrats’ approach with that put forward by House Republicans, who passed a budget that couples lowered tax rates across the board with deep cuts to federal spending. Franken said he preferred to raise revenue through taxes on high-income earners to prevent deeper cuts from coming elsewhere. “Anybody who’s been on the ground looking at what the economy has been doing knows that we have to make investments in education and infrastructure and innovation,” Franken said. “If you don’t have some more revenue coming in you can’t do that without increasing the deficit.” First, if Sen. Franken thinks that the … Read entire article »

ABM’s spin machine fully operational

If ever there was an organization that’s built to spin political yarns, it’s the Alliance for a Better Minnesota, aka ABM, aka Dayton Family Politics, Inc. Recently, ABM posted this drivel: “Today Cravaack voted to put trillions of dollars in the pockets of big corporations by ripping it out of the hands of Minnesota families,” Carrie Lucking, Executive Director of the Alliance for a Better Minnesota, said. “This is a question of priorities. Cravaack repeatedly puts the interests of big corporations with their lobbyists and limousines over the needs of middle class families in Northeast Minnesota. Instead of toeing the extreme, special interest party line, Cravaack should be representing the interests of Northeastern Minnesotans.” Carrie Lucking is full of it. It’s time to tell her and her herd of professional propagandists that enough’s … Read entire article »

Mitt’s admission

It isn’t surprising that Newt is considered the ideas candidate in the GOP presidential race. What’s surprising is Mitt’s admission that he can’t complete with Newt on that battlefield. Mitt’s onslaught of negative ads against Newt Gingrich is admitting that he can’t defeat Newt on the battlefield of ideas. Listen to the pettiness in Mitt’s attacks against Newt: Romney began Monday morning, telling Fox News that Gingrich should return the $1.6 million he was paid by Freddie Mac. Then he told POLITICO that Gingrich is the front-runner, but he’s in for the long haul of an extended primary season, which he believes his campaign will be able to sustain. Then Tuesday, on a day otherwise devoted to fundraising, Romney told the Post that Gingrich is an “extremely unreliable leader in the conservative world.” A … Read entire article »

Taxes aren’t about revenues, they’re about fairness?

Earlier this am, I wrote that Mitt’s tax policies sound like liberal social engineering: At a town hall in Iowa Thursday, Mr. Romney took it further: “For me, one of the key criteria in looking at tax policy is to make sure that we help the people that need the help the most.” A few minutes ago, I read Jim Hoft’s post highlighting President Obama’s debate quote with ABC’s Charlie Gibson. Here’s the video Jim posted: ABC ANCHOR CHARLIE GIBSON: You have said, however, that you’d favor an increase in the capital gains tax. As a matter of fact, you said on CNBC, and I quote, “I certainly would not go above what existed under Bill Clinton, which was 28%.” It’s now 15%, which is almost doubling if you went to 28% but actually, … Read entire article »

Obama’s “Jobs Bill” Attacks Charitable Deductions in Favor of Bigger Government

from Liberty Counsel Washington, DC – President Obama’s proposed “American Jobs Act” will repeal charitable tax deductions for certain taxpayers. Eliminating tax deductions would allegedly raise approximately $400 billion to support Obama’s government stimulus bill and would, in turn, significantly decrease the amount of charitable donations, while increasing government glut. Charities play a significant role in the every-day functioning and survival of Americans nationwide, and Obama is essentially seeking to replace those charities with more government. Obama’s “jobs bill” would mean that taxpayers with adjusted gross incomes over $250,000 for married couples filing jointly (or $200,000 for single taxpayers) may deduct only 28 percent of the value of the charitable contribution. The limitation would affect itemized deductions and certain other tax expenditures that would otherwise reduce taxable income in the 36 or … Read entire article »

Tax Loopholes: Governments Fault

Today the President of the United States, the man elected to represent us all went on the attack.  WHo was he attacking?  The Job Creators. With this one paragraph the President entered the realm of complete liar and twister of the facts.  Spin does not describe this statement. It is wrong that in the United States of America, a teacher or a nurse or a construction worker who earns $50,000 should pay higher tax rates than somebody pulling in $50 million.  Anybody who says we can’t change the tax code to correct that, anyone who has signed some pledge to protect every single tax loophole so long as they live, they should be called out.  They should have to defend that unfairness — explain why somebody who’s making  $50 million a … Read entire article »

Does America Need Leaders with Private Sector Experience or More Professional Politicians?

President Obama laid out his jobs plan and its more of the same. Tax more. Spend more. Calling more taxes, savings and more spending, investment. Is this president incapable of learning from his mistakes or is he going “all in” for a class warfare strategy to get reelected? But it is not just the president. Democrats in Congress are circling the wagons and backing the president to the hilt, but they are starting to get nervous. They are worried if President Obama’s ratings keep falling, they may be dragged down with him. In the First Congressional District of New York there will be a rematch between professional politician and Democrat Tim Bishop vs. entrepreneur Randy Altschuler. Bishop was in academia before getting elected to Congress in 2002, and that represents the sum … Read entire article »

The Buffett Rule: Class Warfare is here

There is buzz everywhere about the Buffett Rule.  What is the Buffett Rule?  Well is seems that another one of the richest men in the world, Warren Buffett has decided to join the ranks of the taxers.  Warren noted that he paid a lower tax rate than his secretary.  But he pays his secretary a salary and he gets most of his money by risky investments (actually usually smart investments) in stocks.  Berkshire Hathaway is the big dog on stock market acquisitions.  His money is Capitol gain on stocks. So here is the plan  Barack Obama will announce the Buffett Rule saying once again the rich must pay their fair share.  The kicker is he will be making this proposal to the unconstitutional Super Committee on the deficit. But this is all … Read entire article »
