The Democrats’ euphemisms

The Democratic Party has waged a war against straightforward speech for decades. They aren’t pro-abortion. They’re pro-choice. They aren’t anti-gun. They’re for gun control. They aren’t pro-terrorist. They’re just opposed to racial and religious profiling. They aren’t big spenders. They’re pro-government ‘investment’. They aren’t the party of tax increases. They’re the party that favors the […]

Leftist Arguments against Trump: Presumably Accurate, but Grotesquely Hypocritical

Having become interested in public policy because of Ronald Reagan’s message of limited government and individual liberty, I’m understandably depressed by the 2016 election. But we can at least learn something from the process. Robert Kagan of the Brookings Institution savages Donald Trump in a column for the Washington Post. Here’s a particularly brutal excerpt. […]

Watters’ screwed-up world

If anyone needs to learn what’s important to Jesse Watters, this article offers insight into just unprincipled he is. During his appearance on The Five, Watters made it clear what was important to him by saying “Everyone’s now saying, Oh he doesn’t check this box, he doesn’t check this box. Do you know what box […]

Unfettered Capitalism and Unfettered Authoritarianism; Pope Francis Rolls the Dice

On his recent visit to South America, Pope Francis once again sounded contradictory notes about capitalism, warning the world about “unfettered capitalism”, saying it was a “subtle dictatorship.” This was in all the papers, over several media outlets, so you can go read it for yourself. Bernie Sanders, the Faux Socialist, Government-Loving Statist

It’s not often that I disagree with the folks who put together the Wall Street Journal editorial page. For instance, they just published a great editorial on that cesspool of cronyism and corruption that is otherwise known as the Export-Import Bank. Isn’t it great that the voice of capitalism actually supports genuine free markets! That […]

Government Coercion Is the Common Link between Nazism, Communism, and other forms of Socialism

Is Obama a socialist? If you’re asking whether he’s a big-spending interventionist, the answer is yes. But if you’re asking whether the President believes in government ownership of the means of production (which is the defining issue in the socialist economic platform), the answer is no (though the White House surely won’t like how Thomas […]

Democrats Adopt Mob Tactics To Gin Up Turnout

Think I’m exaggerating? This is the letter that was sent from the New York State Democratic Committee to voters…like singer/songwriter Jonathan Coulten, who shared this via Twitter:

“Dear _______
Our records indicate that you are registered to vote in Kings County.

Who you vote for is your secret. But whether or not you vote is public record.  Many organizations monitor turnout in your neighborhood and are disappointed by the inconsistent voting of many of your neighbors.

Here is some information you may need to vote:
The polls are open from 6am to 9pm.
You can confirm your voter registration by visiting [a website]
If you have any questions about voting, please call [telephone number]

We will be reviewing Kings County official voting records after the upcoming election to determine whether you joined your neighbors who voted in 2014. If you do not vote this year, we will be interested to hear why not.”

Interested to hear why not? Disappointed in ‘inconsistent voting records?’

That’s sounds almost like this, from ‘The Sopranos’, doesn’t it?

If you don’t do the right thing, are a couple of ACORN thugs going to show up at your front door demanding to know why? And does anyone really think that in a Blue state like New York, whom you voted for a really a secret?

Apparently, this outraged quite a few people, and might just backfire. The NYDC claimed they were just trying to make sure ‘everybody votes’ and NYDC Peter Kauffmann claimed this was just “part of the nationwide Democratic response to traditional Republican voter-suppression efforts, because Democrats believe our democracy works better when more people vote, not less.”

Horse manure.

The accusation of Republican voter suppression is demonstrably ludicrous, but if getting more voters to show up at the polls is the goal then why not send these letters to everyone? After all, there are plenty of pubic service announcements that do just that. No, they wanted to reach only certain voters, and remind them that they’re being watched to make sure they don’t wander off the Democrat plantation…that they don’t disappoint, or else.

The important thing about this is that it shows the barely hidden Fascist side of ‘progressivism’, the club and the jackboot behind the faux benign exterior.

People definitely need to get that message, and send one of their own November 4th.

Progressive fascists at the door

Kirsten Powers is one of my favorite liberals. It isn’t that I agree with her all the time, though I suspect I’d find common ground with her more frequently than the mob would like. The Madison White Privilege Conference – Taxpayer Funded Fascism

 http://www.bonzerwolf.com/storage/hitler-big-lie.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1379775555212

Madison, Wisconsin is a college town that can basically be described a Berkeley North, with neither the advanced science department or the surrounding crime ridden squalor of its California cousin.

That of course doesn’t stop them from indulging in Far Left agitprop, especially at taxpayer expense.

At the end of last March, the 15th annual National White Privilege Conference took place, funded and sponsored in part by hotel tax revenues, the University of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Department Of Public Instruction(DPI) and the City of Madison and in part by attendees, who paid $400 to attend.

A good time was had by all, as the White Debbils who of course are responsible for everything were excoriated.

It hosted more than 100 breakout sessions including: Stories from the frontlines of education: Confessions of a white, high school English teacher; Abolishing Academic Profiling: White Privilege and White Supremacy in Our Schools; Against the Tea Party Movement; If You Build It, They Will Come: Developing a Pre K-12 Curricular Scope and Sequence for Whiteness and Anti-Racisim; Creating Economically and Racially Just Schools: An Equity Literacy Approach ( minority test scores are only bad because the oppressive White oriented educations system doesn’t make enough allowances for their particular culture, you see) and a whole host of other goodies.

A good example of what the attendees were subjected to can be seen in the remarks of Kim Radersma, a former high school English teacher and self-styled activist, who hosted the session titled, “Stories from the front lines of education: Confessions of a white, high school English teacher.”

Radersma told her group that she taught a lower-level English class at a public high school and her students were exclusively ‘people of color’. But the Advanced Placement course in her school was almost all white and Asian students.

The reason? Why racism of course! It was the institutionalized racist structure of education and her white privilege was causing the racial achievement gap.

“I came to higher ed to study. What is this problem that I’m scared of? I don’t know what to do. My principal is scared of this. Where do I point? Who’s at fault? My white body is at fault,” she said. “My racial identity, as a white person who believes that I am somehow better or more deserving, is the problem. The white supremacy, the structure is the problem.”

She also told her group that teaching was a purely political act, and neutral people should “get the f*ck out of education.”

“Teaching is a political act, and you can’t choose to be neutral,” said Radersma. “You are either a pawn used to perpetuate a system of oppression or you are fighting against it. And if you think you are neutral, you are a pawn.”

And of course, any teachers who think their job is to actually educate people rather than to parrot her agenda and confront the system are racists promoting white supremacy.

Radersma also compared white people fighting oppression to alcoholics trying to keep from drinking..because of course, all white people are racist.

“Being a white person who does anti-racist work is like being an alcoholic,” she said. “I will never be recovered by my alcoholism, to use the metaphor. I have to everyday wake up and acknowledge that I am so deeply embedded with racist thoughts and notions and actions in my body that I have to choose everyday to do anti-racist work and think in an anti-racist way.”

Progressives Today posted the first of a four-part video series highlighting some of the craziness that came out of the conference.
Here are just some of the highlights, according to Progressives Today:

  • White people were invented in 1681.
  • Racism was invented in Colonial America by White Capitalists as a tool to divide labor and keep the working class in their place.
  • Individualism is a White construct.
  • Islamic societies have historically protected Jews from White Christians.

Needless to say, the press was not exactly welcome.

The idea here, of course is to program future educators to indoctrinate our children..to be political activists paid by your tax dollars, as Kim Radersma would certainly agree.

This goes far beyond just a simple gathering of progressive fascists. And it’s no ho ho joke, not in the least.

Background: Three Regime Models of Socialism In the thinking-the-unthinkable department, which I’ve sometimes asked you to do, I’m sure it’s crossed your mind that a less-than-benign dictatorship could be in America’s future some day. Whether You Call it Socialism, Statism, Fascism, or Corporatism, Big Government Is Evil and Destructive

Regular readers may have noticed that I generally say that advocates of big government are “statists.” I could call them “liberals,” but I don’t like that using that term since the early advocates of economic and personal liberty were “classical liberals” such as Adam Smith, John Locke, and Jean-Baptiste Say. And proponents of these ideas […]
